Yahoo Finance Laurence Fox thanks trolls for boosting music royalties
Laurence Fox has thanked trolls for making him so much money.
The Lewis actor, who also writes and records his own music, attracted public scrutiny after his appearance on BBC’s Question Time in January when he accused an audience member of racism for calling him a privileged white male.
Fox, 41, posted a video on social media of himself autographing a large pile of covers for his albumn A Grief Observed.

On his Instagram stories he captioned the clip: “Haters gonna hate. Makers gonna make.”
The actor son of James Fox added that he had now received 774,000 listens on Soundcloud, adding, “which is just amazing for me.”
Following his controversial appearance on Question Time Fox then went on to attract further outrage for his criticism of the inclusion of a Sikh soldier character in World War I film 1917, which he claimed distracted from the storyline in its efforts to show diversity.

He has since apologised for that comment, writing: “Fellow humans who are #Sikhs I am as moved by the sacrifices your relatives made as I am by the loss of all those who die in war, whatever creed or colour.
“Please accept my apology for being clumsy in the way I have expressed myself over this matter in recent days.”
Fox - who is father to sons Winston, 11, and Eugene, seven, with ex-wife Billie Piper – admitted he had been suffering from insomnia after receiving death threats from some trolls in recent weeks.
