Laverne Cox, Ariana DeBose, Hannah Einbinder and Nico Santos Announced as Speakers for Variety’s Power of Pride Conversations

Variety is pleased to announce programming for its Power of Pride Conversations to take place on June 24th . The conversations are an extension of Variety’s Pride Issue, which hit newsstands on June 2nd and includes Variety’s annual Power of Pride list which celebrates a community of LGBTQ+ changemakers who use their power to promote inclusion.

Actress, producer and activist Laverne Cox will be participating in a fireside chat with iHeartMedia Digital Audio Group and iHeartPodcast Network CEO, Conal Byrne. The two will discuss Laverne’s partnership with iHeartMedia on her podcast, The Laverne Cox Show, as well as her activist work in the transgender community.

A panel conversation with actors Michael D. Cohen (Henry Danger), Ariana DeBose (West Side Story, The Prom), Hannah Einbinder (Hacks), Griffin Matthews (The Flight Attendant) and Nico Santos (Superstore) will explore the changes the industry has undergone as it relates to LGBTQ+ inclusion in storytelling and how each actor has used their influence to promote causes that are important to them and promote queer visibility. All panelists were featured in the Variety Power of Pride list. The panel will be moderated by Variety’s Senior Entertainment and Media Writer, Matt Donnelly.
