Leicester City host Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday night as two of the season’s surprise packages do battle. All three points for Brendan Rodgers’ high-flying Foxes would take them to within a point of the top of the table.

The club, who comfortably won their last match as they defeated Stoke City 4-0 in the FA Cup Third Round, have gone four games without defeat in the Premier League. This run is particularly impressive given that they faced Tottenham away – where they won 2-0 – and Manchester United at home, which finished as a 2-2 draw thanks to a late Jamie Vardy equaliser. Vardy’s last goal came in that Boxing Day draw, and the veteran striker will look to score his 12th goal of the season against the Saints.

Meanwhile, a win for Southampton would move them level on points with Leicester, Everton and Manchester City. The Saints have dazzled at times this season and they took their biggest win of the campaign last time out when they defeated Liverpool 1-0 at St Mary’s Stadium. Danny Ings scored the only goal that day with an expert lob, and the England international will look to add to his seven strikes in the Premier League this evening. Follow all the latest from the King Power Stadium.
