Life in the DogHouse - ale on tap in bedrooms of world's first 'beer hotel'
This could be the ultimate holiday destination for fans of craft ales…
Scottish firm BrewDog is planning to open what it says is the world’s first craft beer hotel – complete with beer on tap in each of the 26 rooms.
It’s part of a major expansion project for the company, based in Ellon, Aberdeenshire.

Set to open in the first half of 2019, the DogHouse will overlook the firm’s new brewhouse – so anyone who stays there “can wake up to those brewday aromas”.
BrewDog adds: “We are going all out on the rooms – each will have Punk IPA on tap and will be en-suite with a killer shower-beer fridge so you are never more than an arm’s reach from a chilled craft beer!”
People who were early investors in the firm – so-called “equity punks” – will get priority booking to be the first in line to try out the new hotel.
BrewDog co-founder James Watt said: “The DogHouse is our gift to passionate craft beer fans making the pilgrimage to our brewery in Aberdeenshire.
“This will be the ultimate destination for craft beer fans seeking hops with their holidays. This is a beer Nirvana.”
