Yahoo Finance Lil Baby/Lil Durk Collab Debuts on Top of Album Chart; Olivia Rodrigo’s Single Holds at No. 1
After taking a Taylor Swift/Olivia Rodrigo break, hip-hop is back on top of the album chart, as “The Voice of the Heroes,” a joint album by Lil Durk and Lil Baby, debuted at No. 1 with 143,400 album-equivalent units. Although album sales were a scant 3,300, the collaboration attracted a massive 176.3 million individual song streams during the week.
No other albums debuted in the top 30 of the Rolling Stone album chart. Last week’s No. 1, Taylor Swift’s six-month-old “Evermore,” dropped down to No. 8, now that its LP copies have mostly flown out the door and the download promotions are over. It still managed to sell 12,500 full albums, though, on the way to having a 32,100 album-equivalent week, after commanding 239,200 album units the previous week.

Not budging at No. 2 was Olivia Rodrigo’s “Sour,” which had another set of extremely healthy numbers in its third week out, with 166,900 million streams and 141,600 album-equivalent units, indicating serious staying power.
In third place was Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album.” His figures may have gotten slightly goosed since country radio started playing him in modest amounts again in recent weeks following a nearly four-month time-out, but he was doing fine without the medium. This week, he had 56 million song streams.
Rounding out the top 10 albums were holdover releases by J. Cole, MoneyBagg Yo, Tomorrow X Together, Dua Lipa, Luke Combs and Justin Bieber.
On the songs chart, Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” held on at No. 1; it’s been a chart-topper for three of the four weeks it’s been out. This week, it racked up 37.6 million streams.
Following BTS’ “Butter” at No. 2, Bad Bunny had the top-debuting song of the week, with “Yonaguni” bowing at No. 3 with 21.6 million song streams to its credit in the opening frame.
One other song debuted in the top 10: “Hats Off” by Travis Scott, Lil Durk and Lil Baby, in at No. 7 with 17.7 million streams.
