Liverpool will be without Naby Keita and Thiago Alcantara for this evening’s trip to Brentford.

Keita suffered a foot injury when kicking the ground in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup win over Norwich and he could also miss next week’s Champions League game in Porto.

Thiago is struggling with a calf issue and is expected to return after the upcoming international break.

Roberto Firmino has resumed training this week after a hamstring issue and is back on the bench at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was absent for last weekend’s win over Crystal Palace due to illness but has also returned to training this week and returns.

James Milner and Neco Williams are also back in training.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gave an update on the fitness of Keita on Friday when he said: “It’s nothing serious but it’s obviously painful and we have to see how we can deal with it.”
