Yahoo Finance Police rescue 18 people from refrigerated lorry at Cambridgeshire motorway services
Eighteen people have been rescued from a refrigerated lorry at a motorway services in Cambridgeshire.
Officers were called to Haddon Services on the A1M near Peterborough at around 11.30 am on Tuesday, Cambridgeshire Police said.
An HGV driver, who spotted the people on board the lorry, told the force he was concerned for their welfare.
Paramedics attended the scene but no body was injured, police added.

All 18 people are now being taken care of by immigration services.
It comes just days after three men were rescued from the back of a HGV on the A14 near Brampton in Cambridgeshire.
The men had reportedly called police to say they were struggling to breathe in the back of the lorry.
Officers from the BCH Roads Policing Unit launched a hunt for the lorry, which is believed to have travelled from France, according to the Cambridge Times.
The vehicle was found at Brampton Hut services just before 4.30pm by officers from the BCH Roads Policing Unit, according to the publication.
The three men were reportedly not injured and their welfare was being handled by immigration services.
Earlier this year, the main members of a people smuggling gang were handed long jail sentences after 39 Vietnamese illegal immigrants suffocated in the back of their lorry.

Emergency services discovered the bodies of the Vietnamese nationals at an industrial estate in Grays, Essex, after the lorry arrived on a ferry from Zeebrugge in Belgium in the early hours of 23 October 2019.
The men, women and children killed included 10 teenagers, two of them 15-year-old boys.
Cambridgeshire Police said in a statement: "Stories like this may be distressing, but highlight that slavery and trafficking are real and police need the public's help."

The force said people can look for several warning signs when it comes to these sorts of incidents, particularly at service stations or lay-bys.
These include, people emerging from a lorry or HGV, hearing banging from inside a lorry, a group of people heading towards, or entering, the back of a lorry and “if anything about the vehicle doesn’t seem right” like produce being thrown from it.
The force urges anyone who sees any of these signs to call on 999 and take a note of the number plate.
