Louise Redknapp has claimed she was snubbed by some of her celebrity friends following her split from ex-husband, Jamie.

The singer, 46, who shares sons Charles, 16, and Beau, 12, with the 47-year-old former England footballer - to whom she was married for 20 years - is releasing her memoir, You’ve Got This.

In her book, Redknapp, who found fame in girl group Eternal, said she lost a number of friends following the split - but praised Jimmy Carr and his partner Karoline Copping for standing by and supporting her.

She said that friends - some of whom were linked to her former husband - would exclude her.

“It’s hard, because these women were my friends. We went on holiday together, went out for dinner together, and shared countless special memories.

“While they still enjoy their couples’ nights out — birthday parties, Christmas dos, drinks and the like, I’m only invited for coffee.”

In an extract published in The Sun, the Strictly Come Dancing star also reflected on her marriage and said she “didn’t remember” her ex asking whether she would “be alright” caring for their children while he went away for work while they were together

Redknapp also spoke about feeling “guilty” about wanting to be a working mother.

She wrote: “When it comes to careers versus family, it is natural for women to feel guilty.

“I don’t ever remember Jamie packing his bags to go to Vegas for five days and asking if we would be alright.”

Redknapp’s representatives have been contacted for comment.

It comes after the star said she considered stepping in front of a bus at the end of her marriage.

In another extract quoted in the Mail on Sunday, she wrote: “I would be standing in central London, watching the buses whizz past, and I would wonder whether it would be easier for a bus to take me out.

“All it would take was for me to step out at the wrong moment and it would all be over.”

Asked if suicide was a genuine possibility, she told the newspaper’s You magazine: “I think so, for a split second. I was like ‘I would really like this all to go away.’

“But I’ve got two little men I know need me more than anything. That’s where my selfishness stops – when it comes to them.

“I remember looking at Selfridges and the buses and being like ‘God, I’ve got two people that need me, and they’re the loves of my life, so…’ They’re the only thing that kept me going. Them and my mum.”
