Yewande Biala backs Maya Jama as Caroline Flack's 'Love Island' replacement, but who else is in the running?
Love Island alum Yewande Biala has backed Maya Jama to present the upcoming Winter edition of the reality show after Caroline Flack announced that she’ll be stepping down from presenting duties following her recent assault charge.
Addressing Flack’s exit, Biala – co-presenter of Yahoo’s new podcast Reality Check – told us: “I think it’s unfortunate what has happened, but it's probably the best move for season six in terms of concentrating on Love Island and not whatever happened off screen.
“Personally I think Maya Jama would be great as the new presenter and I would love to see it happen."

While ITV have said it will be keeping in contact with Flack in regards to future series, the spot on the new season needs filling but Jama isn’t the only contender.
The winter instalment, set to kick off in January in South Africa, is just around the corner. So who could be rising up to the challenge and sliding into Flack’s shoes?
Maya Jama
Radio 1’s Maya Jama could be a top contender considering her relevance, popularity among the show’s demographic and her own passion for Love Island. On top of that, she has form for presenting reality shows, having already hosted the first season of The Circle as well as dating game show True Love or True Lies.
But following her split from Stormzy earlier this year, Jama might be on the look-out for love herself.
Amber Gill
Hot off the heels of her Love Island victory, Amber Gill could add another string to her bow by stepping in as the new presenter.

Although she hasn't got much experience in the field, her charm and popularity could be a winner among viewers and she’d definitely be offering up some witty commentary on Aftersun.
Rylan Clark-Neal
It's hard to turn on your television nowadays and not see the affable Rylan Clark-Neal beaming at you. The successful presenter has landed gigs on the reboot of Supermarket Sweep, It Takes Two, regularly steps in on This Morning and is set to front the revival of Ready Steady Cook.
However, at short notice and with a lot on his plate, he might have to turn this one down.
Maura Higgins
Maura Higgins proved to be one of the most popular contestants from last year's Love Island with her no-nonsense and sometimes startlingly honest attitude. Curtis Pritchard's girlfriend added fuel to the fire a few days ago by telling followers she was "off to the sun to shoot something very exciting".

She's already got presenting experiencing after getting her own segments on This Morning, so could South Africa be on the cards?
Holly Willoughby
Given her This Morning and Dancing On Ice commitments, the Queen of ITV is perhaps an unlikely candidate. However, she stepped in to I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! when Ant McPartlin took time off, so she might be waiting in the wings this time too as ITV's first reserve.
Emily Atack
Another ITV darling, Atack won legions of fans on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! where she came in second place to Harry Redknapp.
