M&S Has Launched An Orange Candy Melon That Tastes Like Sweets

From Delish

M&S is going bananas for melons right now. Earlier this month, the iconic store announced a brand-new melon called a Limelon, which tastes like a juicy melon with a hint of lime.

M&S explained that the new arrival is “deliciously refreshing with a zesty citrus bite.”

Sold.

And now Marks & Spencer has released an Orange Candy melon. Tell me you’re not intrigued…

According to the guys at M&S, this exciting new fruit tastes like sweets.

M&S says about the tasty new melon: “A limited edition and only available until early September, this unique Spanish grown melon is ideal on its own, in a fruit salad or with ice-cream and has a flavour profile which is aromatic and as the name would suggest - sweet like candy.

"We pride ourselves on providing great quality, diverse and unusual fresh produce varieties which you don't often see in the supermarket and this variety of sweet melon is no different.”

The melon, which is apparently “bursting with flavour” will set you back £3.

Our good friend @KevsSnackReviews has tried the Orange Candy for himself and he’s into it.

He says it’s basically a Honeydew, but with a darker colour. Plus, it’s a little smaller in size.

He adds: “The taste is very different from a Honeydew. I do love Honeydew's, they're so sweet and satisfying, but it's nice to have something a bit less sweet now and then. This one has a more muted sweetness and a slight tartness, more flavour than a Honeydew and less emphasis on its sweetness. It's hard to describe really, but it's a very refreshing and tasty melon!”

Just think of the frozen margaritas you could make with one of these. Sorry, I’ve got booze on the brain as usual…
