M2
A measure of the money supply used by economists looking to quantify the amount of money in circulation. It is a broader classification than M1 and includes all physical currency and deposits in current accounts along with smaller value bonds, savings deposits and non-institutional money market funds. It is the most common measure of the money supply used in forecasting inflation.
