Making latte art is easy with TikToker’s ‘spooky coffee’ hack

Whether it’s Dalgona coffee or recreating your favorite Starbucks drinks, TikTok is a treasure trove of knowledge for coffee lovers.

There isn’t a better instant pick-me-up like the comforting sip of a warm, frothy latte. It’s always extra special when the barista goes above and beyond to add a little latte art into the mix. But trying to recreate the magic at home can be intimidating for barista noobs. Luckily, crafty TiKToker @chasingcozy came up with an easy tutorial to get creepy latte art right in time for Halloween.

You won’t need any special skills to whip this “spooky coffee” up. To create the art, @chasingcozy ingeniously used stencils and brown sugar. Usually, baristas have to expertly manipulate milk as they pour it to create latte art. This simple method is pretty cool because even beginners can do it.

First, she made two frothy lattes as you normally would. You’ll want to be sure there’s lots of milk foam on top since it’s the coffee art’s canvas.

Next, she placed a bat and a ghost stencil on top of the cups.

Then she sprinkled the brown sugar over the stencils until they were filled in.

Finally, she removed the stencils. Each cup of coffee had a ghost or bat perfectly embedded into the milk.
