Yahoo Finance Man bit wife’s ear off and knocked her teeth out in middle of park
A man has been jailed for attacking his wife, knocking out her teeth and biting off her ear in front of shocked onlookers in a park.
Shaun Foy, 39, was jailed at Liverpool Crown Court after attacking his wife of 23 years in Orford Park, Warrington on August Bank Holiday Monday in 2019.
Foy’s assault came after the couple attended a Warrington Wolves victory parade to mark the rugby league side’s Challenge Cup title.
The couple went to a number of pubs following the event and Foy wanted to remain out drinking but his wife wanted to go home, the court heard.
Just before 7pm, they were walking through Orford Park in Warrington when Foy asked for her bank card and she refused.

The court heard how he grew angry, attempting to grab her bag before punching her in the mouth and knocking out her teeth.
Foy climbed on top of her and “ripped a large section” of her right ear off with his teeth.
He continued to punch and kick her before emptying the contents of her handbag onto the floor. He then picked up her debit card and ran away.
Several members of the public came to her aid and the emergency services were called.
Foy was arrested at their family home later that evening.
The court said that while being driven to custody, he told officers: "If I had assaulted her I would have blood on me, wouldn't I?"
A bloodstained t-shirt was later found during a search of the house.

The woman is still undergoing treatment for her injuries 18 months later, the court heard. She is likely to require a prosthetic to be fitted to her damaged ear.
A statement read out to the court on her behalf said: "The impact on me has been huge. My life was ripped apart that day and I've been slowly rebuilding it over the past 16 months."
Foy admitted wounding with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm during an earlier hearing.
He was jailed for just under five years on January 22.
Sentencing, Judge Anil Murray said: "I accept that this was out of character, it looks like you had a drinking problem at the time. This will be your first prison sentence."

Simon Christie, defending, said: "This has to be a flash of anger which was completely out of character, with dreadful consequences - shattering his relationship."
Foy, who has one previous conviction for drink driving, was given 59 months in prison reduced by 242 days to account for time served on bail with an electronic tag.
He was also handed a restraining order barring him from contacting his ex-wife for the next 10 years and told to pay a victim surcharge.
