Margot Robbie is no stranger to a winning beauty moment – in fact, her signature rosy, timeless look is now well-honed (and of course, exactly what makes her the perfect Chanel spokesperson).

And while Robbie may have remained true to her soft-focus palette of muted pinks and warm taupes last night, she also used the occasion to debut a sharp departure from her signature icy-white, mid-length hair, revealing a textured, brow-grazing fringe.

Robbie called on hairstylist Cervando Maldonado for her new face-framing style, with in-demand colourist Tracey Cunningham responsible for the biscuit-blonde hue. Stylist Bryce Scarlett pulled her loosely tousled lengths back into a chic low ponytail for the evening.

“I was inspired by the beautiful simplicity of her Chanel gown and wanted to pair it with a fresh effortless ponytail," said Scarlett of the look, which he achieved using GHD products. He first applied the new Body Goals Total Volume Foam to Robbie's damp roots, before using the Bodyguard Heat Protection Spray through the lengths. Once dry, Scarlett used the Platinum+ Styler to create gentle waves, employing the tool's rounded edges to move the hair back and forth without bending the hair too sharply.

Robbie wasn't the only A-list attendee to reveal a fresh hair transformation at last night's ceremony. Halle Berry delivered a more dramatic reveal, walking the red carpet with a sharp angular bob, complete with heavy texture and a micro fringe.

Robbie attended the event with Josey McNamara, her business partner at LuckyChap Entertainment, which produced Promising Young Woman. Following a successful night at this year's BAFTA ceremony, where the film scooped two awards including the coveted Best British Film, writer Emerald Fennell took home the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
