Yahoo Finance Report: Mark Ingram agrees to a one-year, $3 million deal with Houston Texans
Mark Ingram is headed to Houston.
After a two-year stint with the Baltimore Ravens, Ingram reached a one-year deal with the Texans on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal is reportedly worth up to $3 million.

Ingram was released by the Ravens after they were eliminated from the playoffs last season — which was his least productive in the league. Ingram ran for just 299 yards on 72 carries in 11 games. He fell behind both J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards on the depth chart, too. The move to release him a year early from his deal ended up saving the Ravens $5 million.
Ingram, 31, recorded 1,018 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2019. The three-time Pro Bowler racked up more than 6,000 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns in his eight seasons with the New Orleans Saints, who selected him with the No. 28 overall pick in 2011.
The former Heisman Trophy winner will now join Texans starter David Johnson, who just agreed to a new one-year, $6 million deal, in their backfield. Though he’s nearing the end of his career, Ingram could be a nice addition for Houston’s offense — especially considering the turmoil the organization is facing with quarterback Deshaun Watson.
