MasterCard (MA) Stock Sinks As Market Gains: What You Should Know

MasterCard (MA) closed at $291.38 in the latest trading session, marking a -0.24% move from the prior day. This change lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.09%. Meanwhile, the Dow gained 0.26%, and the Nasdaq, a tech-heavy index, lost 0.17%.

Prior to today's trading, shares of the processor of debit and credit card payments had gained 5.05% over the past month. This has lagged the Business Services sector's gain of 7.57% and outpaced the S&P 500's gain of 4.92% in that time.
