Matt Lucas joins Celebrity Gogglebox line-up

Matt Lucas is the latest star to be announced for this year's celebrity edition of Gogglebox.

The Great British Bake Off co-host will be joined on the sofa by his mum Diane and they will discuss their thoughts about certain TV shows during the special episode, which will air as part of Channel 4's Stand Up to Cancer fundraising evening on Friday.

"Mum and I love Gogglebox so we're extremely chuffed to be on the sofa together in support of the brilliant Stand Up To Cancer," he said in a statement, reports The Mirror.

The star-studded special will also feature chat show host Graham Norton alongside his fellow RuPaul's Drag Race UK judge Michelle Visage.

"Cancer keeps robbing us of the most wonderful people so it's an honour for Michelle and me to be taking our places on the hallowed Gogglebox sofa for this year's Stand Up To Cancer campaign," Graham shared, while Michelle added, "I lost both my adoptive and biological mothers to this awful disease so it's incredibly important to me to support the amazing work Stand Up To Cancer do."

The one-off episode will also feature appearances from Irish comedian Aisling Bea and Catastrophe star Rob Delaney as well as Welsh actor Michael Sheen and his wife Anna Lundberg. Series regulars Jenny and Lee, Pete and Sophie, Marcus and Mica and the Siddiqui family will also make appearances.

The Gogglebox special airs on Friday.
