Yahoo Finance Mayfair mansion for sale for £8 million has a shisha bar in an underground vault
Big-budget buyers looking for the ultimate throwback to their Vodka Rev days might find their dream home is a Mayfair mega mansion with its own underground shisha lounge.
The four-bedroom Grade II-listed townhouse in Park Street underwent an overhaul about three years ago that included the renovation of a vault into a shisha bar for its water pipe-loving owner.
With a price tag of £7,925,000, the home is “essentially brand new” said Joe Le Beau, sales director at Berkshire Hathaway Home-Services London.
“A lot of these houses do have the vaults, but they’re usually forgotten about,” Le Beau said.“Or I’ve seen some used as bedrooms, staff rooms or bicycle storage.”
Moments from Hyde Park, Park Street has counted Pippa Middleton’s husband, former racing driver and hedge fund manager, James Matthews and Baron John Dewar of Dewar’s Scottish whisky among former residents.
