MEDIA-Businessman Trotsenko eyes stake in Russia's Globaltrans-RBC

* Russian businessman Roman Trotsenko is in talks to buy a 34.5 percent stake in rail operator Globaltrans, the RBC daily reported, citing sources.

* Trotsenko is in "preliminary consultations" with Nikita Mishin, Andrey Filatov and Konstantin Nikolaev over an acquisition of their stake in Globaltrans, RBC says.

* A representative of N-Trans, a firm owned by the trio, said the shareholders had not received any official offers, adding they were not in sale talks, RBC reports.

* Trotsenko neither confirmed nor denied the report, while a representative of his company said the businessman was interested in the asset, but no official offer had been made, RBC says.

* RBC says a small premium might be paid - currently the stake is valued at $770 million on the London Stock Exchange (Other OTC: LDNXF - news) .

* The potential exit of the shareholders is no surprise given that last year they announced the sale of a stake in another transportation asset, Global Ports , RBC cites VTB Capital analyst Olga Boltrukevich as saying.
