MEDIA-Czech telecoms regulator courting fourth operator

PRAGUE, June 11 (Reuters) -

** The Czech telecoms regulator CTU is aiming to attract a fourth operator to the country in a further bid to bring down prices, Hospodarske Noviny reported on Monday.

** CTU is courting domestic and European firms with letters setting out conditions for a planned auction for 5G frequencies.

** Auction to take place in second half of 2019 and a new operator could start around the middle of 2020.

** Existing operators are O2 Czech Republic (LSE: 0OHL.L - news) , T-Mobile and Vodafone.
