MEDIA-Deutsche Bank CEO still backs Deutsche Boerse-LSE deal after Brexit

** Germany's Deutsche Bank CEO John Cryan still thinks the planned merger between Deutsche Boerse (LSE: 0H3T.L - news) and the London Stock Exchange Group (LSE) is a good idea, despite the British referendum result to leave the European Union.

** Cryan tells German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that the merger could be an "important pillar of stability" given the challenges that the finance industry faces.

** He says a strong merged organisation could make the markets in Europe and London more solid.

** Deutsche Bank (LSE: 0H7D.L - news) is advising Deutsche Boerse on the merger.
