MEDIA-EasyJet CEO: not a airline that takes over others - WirtschaftsWoche

** easyJet is not looking at takeovers of other airlines, CEO Carolyn McCall is cited as saying by German magazine WirtschaftsWoche.

** "We are not an airline that takes over others. That would mean we would grow more quickly than planned and I see no reason for that at the minute," she is quoted as saying.

** Recent media reports suggested that easyJet was looking at buying smaller rival Monarch or Air Berlin (LSE: 0GPE.L - news) .

** McCall says the airline industry is currently very volatile due to the combination of attacks in Brussels, Paris, and Egypt, plus strikes by staff at airports in France, Belgium and Germany.

** She (Munich: SOQ.MU - news) adds easyJet is against Brexit, but is prepared in the event it happens because it has long been active throughout Europe. Further company coverage: (Reporting by Frankfurt Newsroom, editing by Louise Heavens)
