MEDIA-En+ sees Rusal's planned 2018 output down 30-70 pct-Kommersant

* Russia's En+ Group, which manages Oleg Deripaska's aluminium and hydropower assets, expects that aluminium producer Rusal (HKSE: 0486-OL.HK - news) could reduce planned output in 2018 by 30 percent due to U.S. sanctions, Kommersant reports.

* In its most negative forecast scenario, En+ sees Rusal cutting output by 50-70 percent which could result in it halting plants.

* Lower exports would mean a "significant decrease in revenue" and a cash shortfall of $1.5 billion, suggesting the company might have problems servicing its debts. -- Source link: https://bit.ly/2LAzdr7 -- Note (Stockholm: NOTE.ST - news) : Reuters has not verified this story and does not vouch for its accuracy.
