MEDIA-Rosneft ex-chief in talks to buy stake in Rosneft's shareholder- Vedomosti

MOSCOW, Aug 25 (Reuters) -

* Ex-president of Russia's Rosneft Eduard Khudainatov may buy into Singaporean QHG Oil Ventures, a holder of 19.5 percent in Rosneft, Vedomosti business daily reported, citing a source close to the buyers and an unnamed Russian government official.

* The deal could be announced on September 3 when President Vladimir Putin would be in China, according to Vedomosti.

* Khudainatov denied that he would take part in the deal in his interview with RBC media outlet.

* Earlier this month Reuters reported that China Energy (HKSE: 0228-OL.HK - news) was in early talks to buy Rosneft stake.
