MEDIA-Russian Railways to buy 13 trains from Siemens JV for 1.1 bln euros -- Kommersant

* Russian Railways, the state-controlled railways operator, will spend nearly 1.1 billion euros ($1.24 billion) to buy 13 Sapsan high-speed trains, the Kommersant daily reported on Wednesday citing a source familiar with the situation.

* The board of Russian Railways approved the deal on Tuesday, June 4, the paper said

* Russian Railways signed the frame agreement to buy Sapsans with Siemens Mobility and Ural Locomotives, a Russian JV of Siemens and Sinara Group, in 2018
