Megan Thee Stallion channelled Whitney Houston with her '80s curls

Megan thee Stallion performed at Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta this weekend and for her appearance sported a new look that Whitney Houston herself would surely be proud of.

For her first show, Megan wore the kind of luxe waves that we are more used to seeing her with. Butt-length and with face-framing bleached highlights that accentuated her loose curls.

However for her second show, Megan switched things up entirely and went for a full head of tightly scrunched '80s curls, but kept it modern with some intricately laid edges and Bantu Knots.

The man responsible for both iconic looks is hairstylist Kellon Deryck, who also happens to be the person behind Megan's old Hollywood inspired Met Gala look.

The explosion of colours in Megan's outfit, also added to the '80s vibes. Her cropped orange T-shirt was paired with some metallic blue hot pants which looked so good, we're debating how we get our hands on a pair.

We haven't even touched on her 'heat map' inspired nails yet created by the incredibly talented Cocoa Michelle.

On first glance they just look like patterns of blue, red, yellow and green, but on closer inspection we realised their true meaning.

What with Miley's perm 'mum' do and Megan's scrunched curls, it looks like we need to put our Y2k butterfly clips away and invest in some hair mousse.

We just hope we don't end up looking like an '80s Andre Agassi...
