Yahoo Finance Michael Moore says Trump must ‘pay for his actions’ with ‘trial, conviction, imprisonment’
Now that Donald Trump is out of the White House, Michael Moore wants the former president to “pay for his actions”, including by way of imprisonment.
The filmmaker tweeted during Trump’s departure on Wednesday: “He has just left the White House for good. We the people have evicted him. I will go ahead and cancel the U-Haul.
“He now flies over the wreckage he has created, knowing we are not done with him. Trial. Conviction. Imprisonment. He must pay for his actions- a first-ever for him.”
Moore, an outspoken critic of Trump, later shared a photo of Trump giving his final address as president and tweeted along with the image: “Trump! STFU! GTFO! LOSER! HUGEST LOSER EVER! Federal prison. 3 good meals a day.”
The documentarian also commented on news that Trump left a note for Joe Biden at the White House, as is customary between an outgoing president and their successor. Moore said ironically that the note must have been “written in crayon”, and joked that Trump probably “left coupons in envelope, good for two free drinks at Trump Bedminster Country Club”. Trump owns the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey.
Trump has faced a range of accusations that could result – and have resulted – in legal action. State prosecutors in Manhattan have probed his business dealings and could bring charges. Writer E Jean Carroll, who has accused Trump of raping her, has sued him for defamation. Trump has denied the claims.

Mary Trump, Trump’s niece and the author of the family memoir Too Much And Never Enough, has disputed the notion that charging Trump in court would further divide America.
“It’s quite frankly insulting to be told time after time that the American people can handle it and that we just need to move on,” she told The Associated Press last month.
“If anybody deserves to be prosecuted and tried, it’s Donald,” Mary Trump added. ”[Otherwise] we just leave ourselves open to somebody who, believe it or not, is even worse than he is.”
