By Liz Moyer

Investing.com -- U.S. stocks tumbled into a bear market for the Dow on Friday on worries about a global recession. Here are the midday movers for Sept. 23:

Oil company stocks plunged as prices for both benchmark commodities, WTI and Brent crude, fell 6% and 5%, respectively. APA Corporation (NASDAQ:APA) shares fell 12%, Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE:MRO) shares were down 11% and Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) fell 10.4%. Boeing Co (NYSE:BA) stock fell 6% a day after it announced a $200 million settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission related to the 737 MAX. Costco Wholesale Corp (NASDAQ:COST) shares fell 3.6% after it beat expectations but said margins were being pinched by higher freight and labor costs. Fubotv Inc (NYSE:FUBO) shares rose 3.6% after Wedbush upgraded it to outperform from neutral, calling the current stock price an attractive entry point for the connected streaming service. YETI Holdings Inc (NYSE:YETI) stock fell 5.8% after the maker of coolers and reusable drink containers said its CFO would depart next month.
