Moderna Falls After Reportedly Delaying Covid-19 Vaccine Trial

In a blow to the company's expectations to roll out key data from its coronavirus vaccine by Thanksgiving, Moderna's 30,000-patient trial of its coronavirus vaccine candidate, expected to start next week, has been delayed following changes to the protocol, Statnews reported. The trial could still get underway in July as the company looks "close to being on target," Statnews said, citing one investigator. “My understanding was that they wanted to get the first vaccines given in July, and they say they’re still committed to do that,” one investigator said. “As best I can tell, they’re close to being on target for that.”
