Molson Coors beats on earnings, Netflix poaches Fox producer, Chipotle grabs Taco Bell CEO, Tesla has issues in China

Here’s a look at some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you today.

Molson Coors (TAP) tops our list. The stock is getting a much needed boost after the brewer beat on fourth quarter earnings. Earnings per share came in at 62 cents a share versus 56 cents expected. Revenue however came in just shy of estimates.

What Netflix (NFLX) wants, Netflix gets. It has poached Fox (FOXA) producer Ryan Murphy from Fox to create exclusive content for Netflix. While terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, the Wall Street Journal reports its a five-year deal for roughly $300M. Murphy has produced hits like Glee and American Horror Story.

Chipotle (CMG) has lured Taco Bell’s (YUM) ‘Doritos Locos’ chief to be its new CEO. Brain Niccols will replace Chipotle founder Steve Ells. Investors hope Niccols will be able to save Chipotle’s image and sales after multiple health issues. The stock is up sharply on the news.

Elon Musk is facing serious headwinds from China. Bloomberg reports the issue comes over factory ownership. While Tesla (TSLA) wants to completely own the factory, China says it must be a joint venture with local partners. If a deal can’t be made, Tesla faces a huge import tax on every electric vehicle sold.
