Mom refuses to let ‘baby hog’ sister hold baby: ‘She endangered your son’s health’

A new mom banned her sister from holding her 4-month-old son.

She asked Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum to weigh in. Her eldest sister is currently pregnant and has always been known as a “baby hog.”

She took her son to visit family for the first time. But during the party, her big sister wouldn’t let anyone else hold him. Then, her son went missing. It turned out that her big sister was locked in their parents’ bedroom with her son.

“I found out that the whole time she was holding him she was sick with some sort of cough (she thought it might be strep or bronchitis),” she wrote. “I was furious.”

She forbade her big sister from holding her son. But now, whenever she visits, her big sister pesters her to hold the baby.

Redditors felt the sister was completely out of line.

“She had strep or bronchitis and locked herself up with baby?? No way is that okay,” a user said.

“She endangered your son’s health, safety and well-being!” another wrote.

“Someone who is so obsessed with babies that she’s willing to risk their life just so she can hold them is not someone who can be trusted,” someone added.
