In honour of the return of The Great British Bake Off's return, the creative lot at Moonpig have come up with a pretty unique new limited edition range of cards. Each of the five cards is edible... and naturally... taste of cake?

It's bizarre but we're surprisingly on board. Sounding like a marvel straight out of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, it's certainly something new to try!

Each edible Birthday card features a classic cake and is flavoured to recreate that cake. Choose between Lemon Drizzle, Victoria Sponge, Decadent chocolate, Swiss roll and classic Battenberg, for a card they will never forget!

Sarah-Jane Porter, Head of Cards and Licensing said in the press release; "GBBO has inspired a new generation of cake bakers in the UK and this baking trend has led to the most amount of cake themed cards being sold each year whenever the show was running*. So creating a range of edible cards for the start of the new series was a no-brainer.

"The new collection is the icing on the cake of Moonpig’s already popular cake themed birthday card offering and we’re excited to see how they go down with our customers."

Sending cakes and biscuits by post has become so popular and this combines both a card and a cake, how can you go wrong? You can order them delivered straight to the recipient or to yourself to deliver in person.
