Morrisons is selling vegan pigs in blankets – and meat eaters will love them, too
Morrisons has launched a delicious twist on pigs in blankets for vegetarians and even us meat lovers are on board with these tasty Christmas canapés.
Veggies in Blankets or veggies in vests, if you will, are vegan-friendly ‘sausages’ made from tomato, potato, mushroom and basil, carefully wrapped in an aubergine ‘blanket’.
Sold in packs of 10, the Veggies in Blankets are available now in Morrisons stores nationwide and cost £2.50.
And if you’re thinking of serving these in a Christmas buffet or as canapés to your guests at a festive celebration, they’re currently in the supermarket’s 3 for £6 offer on Christmas party food, which also includes the vegan Sweet Potato Stacks and vegan Vegetable Tempura Nests.
Morrisons’ Party Food Expert Simon Whittle said: ‘Pigs in Blankets are arguably the best part of Christmas dinner. We’ve listened to customers who are looking for more plant-based options over the festive period and created a vegan version.’
