MOVES-Baillie Gifford names Douglas Brodie as partner

Jan 16 (Reuters) - Baillie Gifford & Co, an Edinburgh-based asset management firm, appointed Douglas Brodie as a partner, effective May 1.

Brodie is the head the global discovery investment team and manager of Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust.

Baillie Gifford & Co is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Robert Blaikie, head of trading, will retire from the partnership on April 30, after 34 years with the firm. As a result, the total number of Partners (Other OTC: PGPHF - news) will remain at 40. (Reporting by Rama Venkat Raman in Bengaluru; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
