MOVES-Barclays picks Salomon to run France investment bank
LONDON, Oct (Shenzhen: 000069.SZ - news) 26 (IFR) - Barclays (LSE: BARC.L - news) has promoted Raoul Salomon to head its corporate and investment bank in France, overseeing its banking, markets, research and corporate banking business there.
Salomon has been head of markets and distribution in France since 2014 and will retain those responsibilities in his new role. He has been at Barclays for 20 years.
The 52-year-old is co-responsible for the UK bank's relations with Agence France Trésor and responsible for the distribution of fixed income products. Barclays is one of the most active primary dealers in France.
Catherine Soubie, who had been head of investment banking in France and Benelux, left Barclays in July. (Reporting by Steve Slater; Editing by Gareth Gore)
