MOVES-Hastings to head energy trading at Stan Chart

LONDON, Aug 16 (IFR) - Matthew Hastings has been appointed global head of energy trading at Standard Chartered (BSE: 580001.BO - news) . He will be based in London and report to Cengiz Belentepe, global head of commodities in the financial markets division.

Most recently Hastings (Frankfurt: 8HG.F - news) worked at Chinese state energy company PetroChina (HKSE: 0857-OL.HK - news) , based in Houston. He previously had roles at Mercuria Energy, Barclays (LSE: BARC.L - news) and Merrill Lynch. (Reporting by Christopher Spink)
