MOVES-HSBC hires Maskell for financial sponsors role

LONDON, Jan 17 (IFR) - HSBC has hired Alexis Maskell from Deutsche Bank (IOB: 0H7D.IL - news) to head its account coverage within its financial sponsors group.

HSBC said in a memo to staff seen by IFR that Maskell will report to Gilles Collombin, head of its financial sponsors group, and they will set the strategic direction of the unit.

Maskell covered key sponsors in Europe at Deutsche Bank. His LinkedIn (Swiss: LNKD.SW - news) profile said he has worked at Deutsche since October 2007, and previously worked at Citigroup (NYSE: C - news) and Cazenove. (Reporting by Steve Slater; Editing by Ian Edmondson)
