MOVES-ICBC appoints Simpson as global markets COO

LONDON, Jan 9 (IFR) - ICBC Standard Bank has appointed Gary Simpson as chief operating officer, global markets. He reports to Guido Haller, head of global markets, and starts immediately.

Simpson joins from HSBC, where he had the same position for the FX option and global commodities businesses. Previously he had been COO of Asia commodities at Deutsche bank (IOB: 0H7D.IL - news) in New York and Singapore.

At ICBC Standard bank, global markets encompasses commodities, fixed income, currencies and equities. (Reporting by Christopher Spink)
