The U.S. commercial insurance business said it was expanding its underwriting into the risks of life sciences, naming John Parente to head that area.

HSBC HOLDINGS PLC (HKSE: 0005.HK - news)

The bank appointed David Long, a 20-year JPMorgan veteran, to the newly created position of head of equities, EMEA.
