Mrs Hinch’s Homemade Hot Chocolate Test Tubes Make The Cutest Christmas Gifts

From Delish

Hands up if Mrs Hinch has had a positive effect on the state of your house? You have to admit, her simple cleaning tips and tricks have taken your home from a terrifying state of affairs to a, well, slightly less terrifying state of affairs…

But we’re not here with a cleaning tip from Mrs Hinch today – nope, this little hack from her is all about hot chocolate: a subject VERY close to Delish’s heart.

Mrs Hinch – whose real name is Sophie Hinchcliffe, btw – recently shared a series of videos on her Instagram of her making the cutest little Christmas gifts: hot chocolate test tubes.

Basically, these thrifty but adorable gifts are test tubes filled with all the ingredients you need to make a tasty hot chocolate, including cocoa powder, chocolate drops, mini marshmallows, plus anything else you fancy really. Then you package them up with a mini wooden spoon and add some labels and super-cute gift-wrapping.

Mrs Hinch says she got all the bits she needed to make the homemade gifts from eBay, Home Bargains or her local supermarket.

Mrs Hinch says in the videos: “So, I've decided to make by hot chocolate tubes this evening guys, I thought they'd be quite cute.

“I'm going to wing it and see how they come out! You can't beat a homemade gift for Christmas.”

Considering she was winging it and admitted that a funnel she bought to make filling the test tubes easier, was too small, we think these turned out great. And if you follow the simple step-by-step instructions in the videos, you’ll definitely be able to recreate them at home.

We think these make a super-thoughtful gift, and just think of all the different flavours you could do. White hot chocolate, orange hot chocolate, hell, you could even do a boozy version and attach a miniature bottle of Baileys to the tube!

You can watch the videos on Mrs Hinch's Instagram Stories.
