“This odor eliminator is specifically for the carpet, which is something I personally vacuum often but don’t always deodorize,” Phoebe says, “It’s so easy and all-natural.”

What you need:

  • 1 cup baking soda

  • 10-15 drops of essential oil

  • Vacuum

“Baking soda is a natural odor absorber that neutralizes stubborn acidic odors and funky smells around the home,” she explains. “Another great thing about using baking soda is it works as a dry deodorizer versus a spray, so you never have to worry about over-saturating your carpet.”

Just combine the ingredients together and sprinkle the mixture onto your carpet. Let the deodorizer sit for 30 minutes. Then vacuum it up.

“If you have a deep-pile carpet, you may want to sprinkle small sections at a time, then work the baking soda into the carpet with your fingers before moving on to the next section,” Phoebe adds.

This deodorizer is a great affordable way to spruce up an old rug or carpet with products you may already have at home.

“Short, sweet and to the point, but this works,” Phoebe raves. “You don’t need to use any harsh chemicals, and I am so thrilled.”
