Netflix reveals fate of Sherlock Holmes drama The Irregulars after season 1
In a bold move, Netflix has decided not to renew the teen Sherlock Holmes drama The Irregulars.
The first season landed on the streaming service in March and told the story of a group of street rats being manipulated by the mysterious Dr Watson into solving supernatural mysteries and in doing so, discovering hidden truths about their family and grief.

The show was overall a success, reaching the Top 10 on Netflix and holding onto it for several weeks after its release.
While Netflix didn't give a reason for the cancellation, the comparison to the streamer's previous period drama Bridgerton and its astounding success might have something to do with the decision to renew one and not the other.
Many upset fans took to Twitter to voice their disappointment about the show's cancellation.
WTF WHY DID NETFLIX CANCEL THE IRREGULARS??? 😠 maybe it wasn't as hyped as shadow&bone, but still had a great plot, amazing characters and the ending that suggested at least one more season. i need to know how they solved the situation with leo, pls pic.twitter.com/Mjar57Fho2

@netflix Why cancel The Irregulars after only 1 season? It was really rather good, with a solid cast. It should have a second season. You can’t leave us with Bea in tears. 😰
