New look at Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana as 'Spencer' shoots in the UK
A new look at Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana has been released as Pablo Larraín’s Spencer moves to the UK for the final stretch of filming.
The Twilight star is playing Diana Spencer in the film, described as 'a poetic internal imagining', which focusses on a crucial weekend in the Princess of Wales' life.
Set in 1991, the film sees Charles (Jack Farthing) and Diana spending a weekend at Sandringham over the Christmas period after their relationship had already fallen apart.
The film had been shooting in Europe, but has now moved to the UK as the production nears its end.
Stewart told Jimmy Kimmel that, although she didn’t grow up with Diana as a prominent figure in her life, she still has an affinity for the woman known as the ‘People’s Princess’.

“I was really young when she passed away,” said the 30-year-old star.
She added: “I remember the flowers. I remember being like: 'What are all of those? I've never seen so many in one place.'
“I was really young and didn't really know what was going on, but now it's hard not to feel protective of her. She was so young. She comes out to here.
“Everyone's perspective is different and there's no way to get anything right because what is fact in relation to personal experience?”
Here's the official synopsis: December, 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumours of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate. There's eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.
Spencer is aiming for release autumn 2021.
