EQS Group-News: ALSO Holding AG / Key word(s): Expansion
Entering the market in this country, with its concrete EU-backed plans for a major digital infrastructure upgrade, is the next logical step in expanding coverage across Southern Europe. The Technology provider sees a unique opportunity of establishing and scaling all its three business models, Supply, Solutions and Service, in Italy. At the same time, ALSO will benefit from Executive's expertise in delivering the full range of channel management services dedicated to retail customers.
Giorgio Ascoli, Co-Owner of Executive s.p.a.: "This is a win-win constellation: we will be able to roll out the value added services we have successfully developed into other countries. At the same time, being part of the ALSO ecosystem enables us to bring new vendors and services to our Italian customers."
For ALSO, the acquisition, which is still subject to the standard regulatory approvals, is part of its strategy of sustainable profitable growth, as Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO Holding AG (SIX: ALSN), explains: "Two pillars of our MORE strategy are reinvention and enhancement. With the acquisition, we are going to reinvent some of our processes with Executive's retail channel management tool, while at the same time enhance our ecosystem even further."
He adds: "We share the same values: responsible action and long-term commitment have always been at the core of this family owned and managed business. Which is why not only the founders will remain in the company, but their children will play an active part in building and deploying ALSO Cloud Italy."
