Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin's 'suit of death' is now a very real thing

Typically, at funerals, the attendees are supposed to be draped in all-black attire.

For the fallen opponents of the Montreal Canadiens during the 2021 NHL playoffs, the last thing they’ve seen before being eliminated is red.

That’s because for each and every series-clinching game the Habs have won, general manager Marc Bergevin has sported this grim reaper of a suit.

As you can see, here’s Bergevin casually strolling into the Bell Centre on Thursday night in the aforementioned suit, knowing full well the Vegas Golden Knights will not live to see another day due to the murderous powers of his outfit.

Once again, Bergevin is seen celebrating in the ‘suit of death’ after Tyler Toffoli laid the Winnipeg Jets to rest in overtime of Game 4, completing an impressive and unexpected sweep.

And of course, here’s Bergevin with his first victim. The GM is rocking the red following Montreal’s improbable 3-1 series comeback against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

As it stands, the Canadiens are 3-0 when Bergevin, AKA the Big Red Monster, throws on this series-clinching suit.

A warning for the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning: If you see Bergevin making his way to the arena in this thing, just know your fate has already been decided.
