Golden Knights troll Habs with image of Montreal icon Celine Dion in Vegas gear

Celine Dion wasn’t lying when she said her heart will go on, but Montreal Canadiens fans likely weren’t expecting it to play out quite like this.

The multi-time Grammy Award winner’s hockey allegiance to her hometown team, the Canadiens, has been put into serious question after the video board operations crew at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, home of the Golden Knights, displayed this absolute abomination.

Dion was born in Charlemagne, Québec, a town roughly 50 kilometres from Montreal and has repped the bleu-blanc-rouge before, but it seems her heart now beats with the Golden Knights.

Her apparent reason to love Vegas more stems from the fact that she now lives in Nevada.

Hockey fans have weighed in on her newfound fandom.

Some Habs fans, still in denial, have called out the photo as fake. But how do you explain this?

If Montreal, who has a 3-2 series lead over Vegas, manages to close out the series, it’ll be interesting to see if Canadiens fans welcome Dion back with open arms, or if they’ll think twice.
