Yahoo Finance Nicole Kidman looks amazing in director's chair ahead of TV launch
Nicole Kidman looked stunning in a white summery frock as she sat in a director's chair to countdown the days until her new drama Nine Perfect Strangers launches.
The Hollywood star shared a photo of herself in a white embroidered dress and looking through what appeared to be a script for her upcoming TV series against a backdrop of luscious greenery.
"Let the countdown begin! 2 weeks until #NinePerfectStrangers," Nicole added the caption.
The series, adapted from Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty's best-selling novel of the same title, is set in Nicole's native Australia, in Bryon Bay, New South Wales.
Nicole leads the mystery drama as enigmatic Russian wellness director Masha, who runs her own wellness retreat welcoming nine new guests seeking a calm and peaceful sanctuary to relax and recuperate in. However, their break takes a sinister turn and each guest begins to unravel.
The impressive ensemble cast includes Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Melvin Gregg and Samara Weaving.
It's Nicole's third collaboration with award-winning screenwriter David E. Kelley, following the success of HBO's Big Little Lies and The Undoing.
"I'm so proud of what we were able to pull together this past year, bringing Nine Perfect Strangers filming to Australia during the global COVID-19 pandemic," Nicole previously said in a statement.
Nine Perfect Strangers episodes 1 -3 launches on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, August 20. The remaining five episodes will be added weekly until the finale on Friday, September 24.
