Nordstrom shares lower, Tesla's compensation plan in focus, Ascena Retail Group faces bigger-than-expected loss

Here are the charts of the day for March 6, 2018.

Nordstrom (JWN): Shares are lower in early trading. The reason? A special committee of the department store’s board rejected a $50 a share offer from the Nordstrom family, in an effort to take the retailer private. The committee called the bid ‘inadequate.’

Tesla (TSLA): Tesla’s controversial compensation plan for founder and CEO Elon Musk is in focus, as proxy advisor firm Glass Lewis says shareholders should vote against it. Glass Lewis says the cost of the grant is ‘staggering.’

Ascena Retail Group (ASNA): Shares are tumbling in early trade. The Ann Taylor and Lane Bryant parent company came out with a bigger loss than expected and forecast another loss in the current quarter.
