North Sea Crude-Diffs hold steady at multi-month lows

LONDON, April 24 (Reuters) - North Sea crude differentials held steady on Monday, around their lowest for several months, as evidence of excess supply continued to dog the market.

The contango in the swaps curve is close to its steepest since last November, usually a sign that prompt-loading cargoes are under pressure because of oversupply.

Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) offered a cargo of Forties for loading via ship-to-ship transfer in mid-May, something traders say can reflect an excess of unsold barrels.

WINDOW SUMMARY

* Shell offered one cargo of Forties via STS (Shanghai: 603322.SS - news) at Scapa Flow for loading May 15-19 at a premium of 25 cents to dated Brent and a second for loading May 13-15 at a discount of 40 cents.

* Glencore (Frankfurt: 8GC.F - news) offered one cargo of Brent for loading May 9-11 at a discount of 85 cents to the dated price and a second for loading May 6-8 at a discount of $1.00 to the benchmark price.

* Litasco offered a cargo of Oseberg for loading May 18-20 at a premium of 70 cents to dated Brent. (Reporting by Amanda Cooper; Editing by Adrian Croft)
