North Sea Crude-Forties steady, Brent weakens

LONDON, Oct (HKSE: 3366-OL.HK - news) 11 (Reuters) - Forties crude differentials remained at a steep discount to the benchmark and Brent fell on Tuesday as excess supply kept the market under pressure.

TANKER MOVEMENTS

* The VLCC Ridgebury Pride, which was originally chartered by Exxon to take Forties to South Korea, has been anchored off the UK port of Southwold for the past two weeks.

* Two other VLCCs could sail to South Korea this month if vessel fixtures turn into actual shipments. Vitol has booked the Tianjin and Unipec has booked the Cospearl Lake, shipping data showed.

WINDOW SUMMARY

* Forties: Offered at dated Brent minus 70 cents for loading Oct. 29-31 by Total (LSE: 524773.L - news) and bid at dated minus 60 cents by Vitol, in line with indications on Monday.

ADVERTISEMENT

* Brent: Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) offered a cargo loading on Oct. 27-29 at dated minus 70 cents, down 20 cents from a deal on Monday. No bid was seen.

* Ekofisk: Statoil (LSE: 0M2Z.L - news) sold to BP a cargo loading Oct. 25-27 at dated minus 20 cents, up from indications on Monday.
